Nutrition Label Serving Calculator

Scale Nutrition Facts values from the labeled serving to the amount eaten, with optional US Daily Value percentages.

Start here

Choose whether the label values are per serving or per 100 g or mL.

Browser-first

Nutrition values and serving amounts are calculated locally in your browser and are not uploaded to a server.

Useful for

Calculate nutrients for more or less than one serving

Enter the package's per-serving values, then enter how many servings you ate.

Enter values from the label

Enter 0 when a listed nutrient has no amount. Keep grams and milligrams distinct.

Scaled nutrition estimate

%DV uses US FDA reference values for adults and children age 4 or older; it is not a personal target.

Scaling, not dietary advice

The tool multiplies entered label values. It does not determine an appropriate serving or nutrition plan.

Expect rounding differences

Nutrition Facts values and serving counts are rounded, so package totals may differ slightly.

Quick answer

Scale Nutrition Facts to the amount actually eaten

Enter the label's serving basis and nutrient values, then enter the amount eaten to calculate calories and nutrients for that portion or the whole package.

Use this when

Your portion differs from the printed serving size or a recipe uses only part of a package and you need scaled US Nutrition Facts values.

Know the boundary

The result is only as accurate as the package label and entered amount; optional Daily Value percentages are general US labeling references, not personal targets.

Useful next step

About this tool

Scale Nutrition Facts values from the labeled serving to the amount eaten, with optional US Daily Value percentages.

Nutrition values and serving amounts are calculated locally in your browser and are not uploaded to a server.

Health information notice

Results are arithmetic estimates based on the numbers you enter. Rounding, preparation method, recipe changes, country-specific labeling rules, and individual nutrition needs can make the real value different. This is not personalized dietary or medical advice.

How to use it

  1. Choose whether the label values are per serving or per 100 g or mL.
  2. Enter the labeled base amount, the amount eaten, and the nutrients you want to scale.
  3. Calculate the adjusted nutrients and review optional US Daily Value percentages.

Common use cases

  • Calculate nutrients for more or less than one serving
  • Convert per-100-gram values to the amount eaten
  • Estimate totals for a full package
  • Compare the same portion across two packaged foods

Serving-Size Scaling Formula

First calculate the serving factor: amount eaten ÷ labeled base amount. Multiply calories and every nutrient by that same factor. If 30 g contains 150 calories and you eat 45 g, the factor is 45 ÷ 30 = 1.5 and the estimate is 225 calories.

Label value per 30 gAmount eaten: 45 gScaled estimate
150 calories× 1.5225 calories
8 g total fat× 1.512 g
240 mg sodium× 1.5360 mg

US Daily Values Used by the Calculator

Optional % Daily Value estimates use FDA reference Daily Values for adults and children age 4 or older. They help interpret a food label but are not individualized goals.

FAQ

How do I calculate nutrition for the amount I ate?

Divide the amount eaten by the label's base amount, then multiply each listed nutrient by that factor.

Can I use a label that lists values per 100 grams?

Yes. Choose the per-100 g or mL mode, enter the amount eaten, and the tool scales each value proportionally.

Which Daily Values are used?

The optional percentages use current US FDA Daily Values for adults and children age 4 or older. They are label references, not personal intake targets.

Why might my result differ from the package total?

Label values and serving counts are rounded. Multiplying rounded values can produce a slightly different total from another value printed on the package.
